Since a few people have brought it up now since the beginning of the second volume, I talked in the weekly update about how it might feel as if the same checklist is being repeated over and over without anything being done.
tl;dr: Totally understandable why it feels that way seeing as how it was brought up several times in the first volume without anything on the list getting accomplished, but stuff has actually been getting done now (resolved food and visiting local farm in one, working on mana right now, and the rest will be dealt with as well). The reason why it was repeated so many times is because I'm a discovery writer, so each time I brought the list up, something else that I wasn't expecting popped up which took his attention away from it. Now, though, his attention is dedicated to the list and getting it done. When I inevitably get around to revising EDE for self-publication, the repetitive checklist mentioning will be fixed to make this a nonissue. Also, this isn't really a tl;dr. But yeah. I can understand why it feels like there's been a repetitive to-do list that's been brought up without any of it getting done, because that happened a whole bunch in the first volume. Now, though, I honestly don't see that being an issue anymore (mainly due to the fact that the list is objectively getting done now) and will be careful to future-proof things so similar annoyances don't pop up.
