Khunphon is the actual first name of Khai's character, but his nickname is Khai. Sometimes the nickname are similar to the person's actual name, but sometimes they have no relation at all. You can notice this from all the BL actor's. Gun's real name is Atthaphan Phunsawat but his nickname is Gun, and Off's real name is Jumpol Adulkittiporn. If you ever watch some of the variety shows with them, you'll see their friends use their nickname mostly, but sometimes use their real first name. Also, Paan and Bone never exchanged contact info, so she couldn't call him to say she wasn't going to show up at the movie!
