I'm still way behind and working on catching up, but watching this made me realize there's something you should know that might help you understand both Thai culture and Thai BLs a little more. When Kao's mom tells him he should talk to his "partner" if he is stressed out, it's because there's actually only one word for both boyfriend and girlfriend in Thai. So in reality the Thai word best translates to partner in the west, and it's one reason that Thais are a little more accepting, since their language doesn't even have a word for boyfriend or girlfriend, just partner.

At first they thought that Pete's father would oppose them being together. But actually before this, Pete's ex-girlfriend was unhappy about Pete and Kao getting together, and she sent a photo she took secretly about Pete and Kao kissing together, to Pete's father. Pete's father was shock seeing the photo, but then he chose to accept it.
