October Dormitory Diary Entry - Ueno

Hello, this is Ueno with my October dormitory diary.

It finally feels like fall, though the weather has been all over the place...Just as I was thinking it wasn’t gonna cool down, it suddenly did. Now, if only the weather could make up its mind instead of swinging back and forth every day.

Recently, my project director sent me some layout corrections, which pointed out differences between how I interpreted the storyboard and what the director actually envisioned. I’ve come to understand how important it is to fully grasp the intended vision before creating the layouts. I also realized that listening closely and sensing the director’s intent is essential. This job really tests your imagination!

Lately, I’ve been reading more to clear my mind. While reading, I started picturing what the protagonist might look like, and it made me want to sketch them, so I’ve done so for this diary entry. It’s nice to get lost in a book every now and then!

上野です。10月の寮生日記です。

秋になったのになかなか涼しくならないな〜と思っていたら突然気温が下がったりと、寒暖差のある毎日が続いています…。

先日、レイアウトの修正を演出の方からいただき、絵コンテと演出の方の求めるものの違いに気付かされました。どんな形が求められているのか、それをしっかりと把握した上でレイアウトにしていく必要があるんだなーと改めて感じました。そして、そのためには演出の方の意図を感じながら話を聞くということが大切だと思いました。想像力をもっと磨かなければ…！

最近、気分転換にと本を読んでいます。本を読みながら主人公の見た目はこんな感じかな、と考えていたら絵にしたくなったので日記に載せました。たまには本を読むのもいいな〜。
