I still think talking to AJ is a bit of a risk as even speculation can cause problems. AJ hung spike out to dry just for kissing another mare (and endangering their child (reference log:110)), the idea that their entire marriage is a cop-out would prove devastating. Speaking with Twilight again might prove more functional this time around. You have new information, usable information. Fear is a motivating emotion, one you are familiar with. Self worth is something you have learned. With these, you have grounds to speak with her as an equal in this matter, and as a changeling you have an advantage in understanding her feelings.

If the problem is stallions being intimidated by Twilight, then perhaps we should find some of the stallions who were interested in her (but to cowardly), and suggest they at least give it a chance. Perhaps even setting up a similar scenario to what Spike did. (And as a side note, is it strange for me to suggest Thorax as a potential suitor for Twilight? Or does Thorax not exist in this world?)

I hate to bring it up again, but we might want to encourage somepony who would ask Twilight out if he weren't afraid to do it anyway. It's a dumb plan, but we know nopony's tried it yet, and if we're lucky it will encourage Twilight to stop romantically fixating on her adopted son. It might be the best bad plan we have.
