Clip Studio Paint (Pro)
Added 2021-06-25 18:40:40 +0000 UTCPhotoshop on the iPad was frustrating the hell out of me, so I decided to give Clip Paint Studio Pro a try. The name makes it sound like some stupid amateur clip art program, so I avoided it. But pros use it, and it actually looked like the best program for me - at least on the iPad.
Already, after 5 minutes, I'm so glad I got it. I just canceled my Photoshop subscription - $9.99/mo for PS vs $25/yr for CPSP? No brainer.
The standard inking pen is WAY better. I even imported my PS brushes from the computer to the iPad (in Photoshop) and they don't work the same. Drove me nuts. Plus, the tool bar can't be moved, so the canvas was constantly zooming out to full screen. And there's no magic wand lasso in PS.
Long story short, while I'll have to learn how to use Clip Paint Studio (I don't like learning new programs), I'm already very happy that I switched. Photoshop on the iPad will probably be great one day, but that day is not today. It's way more trouble than it's worth for comic book-style art.
Cheers!

Lol. Hey, since I'm replying on the computer, I actually can reply properly! How about that? Photoshop is still my go-to on the computer. But the iPad version is just not the same.
