There was a H-F contest for a video game cover that I never entered, but I had an idea roughly sketched out. Space Ace! Do you guys know it? Or remember it? It was the little brother to Dragon's Lair (Don Bluth). Man, I used to play that quite often on my Amiga, back in the day.
Anywho, I'm trying something new (when am I not?) with the coloring. Using Painter's Glow brush for the orange/yellow light on the right, and then adding in the main color afterward - in this case, it's just standard, but it could be more grey if it's night time or in shadow.
If you guys get a chance, check out David Harrington on YouTube, who is the guy I got the idea from. He's a Painter guy and is a senior concept artist at Blizzard. Good guy to take some pointers from, huh?
Another one I just found is Peter Stapleton, though in 5 years, he only has like 6 videos.
I don't know if I'll finish this. I think I will. And I may use this to finish/redo the Superman and Black Canary page. It seems too....boring. Too flat.
I'm frustrated that I'm not finishing things, but I definitely want to finish something this month. *fingers crossed*
