PURE Config Setting Tips

For members of my Patreon, here are some tips to achieve accurate onboard shots and customised effects on Assetto Corsa using the PURE Config Adjustments.

Important settings to adjust and learn in PURE Config

The screenshots of my settings are now in the PPF Config folder as of April 2025

Daytime Light Multipler, leave standard preferably, but you can increase this to get more sunlight at a later time of day. Useful if you want to have brighter sunsets or generally increase brightness, but for me, I'd leave it at 1.000

- Light > Sun Light Level
For clear, few, scattered and broken clouds
Set this value for sunlight level. This setting is essential for track brightness. The brighter you go, the more sunlight on track. But be wary as most onboards have a dark track circuit

0.250 to 0.550 Sun Light Level depending on PP Filter in use, some PP filters may want more brightness
0.750-1.000 for Sun Light Saturation

Ambient Lighting set to 0.500 across all 3 settings and ensure you have V2 enabled with sunlight on 0.100 in the V2 options. You can adjust this and the cloud levels to achieve the desired lighting you pregeger

I also recommend lowering the advanced ambient lighting setting which is below ambient light level to 0.500 or lower, but this option you may want to tweak as it shows the brightness of the sides of the circuit, but leave, these are the options above the V2 settings, this is personal preference.

Reflections Level 0.550 - 0.900 dependant on other settings

CSP Lights bounce, own preference, but don't go too high as it'll burn your eyes or your graphics card, haha
For CHQ tracks and Singapore 2020, etc, I would recommend lowering this setting to about 0.300 - 0.400

CSP Lights Emmissive, I consider this the bloom of the lights, useful to change if street lights are too glare ish. Some tracks require tweaking. Standard seems okay, though

Clouds Brightness in Clouds
Sky Level in Sky Settings to be set between 0.300 and 1.000, make sure they are matching or you will have a split sky but you can play with these to achieve different sky colours if needed. You can have slightly different levels if desired.
