Just a heads up, these first two seasons complete the main story of the visual novels. You can stop off here if you want. After Kai is an epilogue series "Higurashi Rei" and a slice of life spin off "Higurashi Kira" which has no connection to the main storyline. The 2020-2021 anime "Higurashi Gou" and "Higurashi Sotsu" are a sequel series to the original series.
