I'll just start it off with what's going to be different about the story than other one-piece fanfics. The crew isn't going to all know Haki or Rokushiki before they get out of the East Blue. None will get an extreme boost in power unless it's through a devil fruit.

It takes years to learn one of the techniques. Death battles can induce them but if they didn't happen in the original they won't happen in mine either. You normally need special training to unlock haki or a technique. Lucci was a one-in-a-hundred years talent and he was almost in his 30s before he learned all the techniques.

The entire pre-time skip timeline is less than 3 months. Everything that's happened post-time skip has been less than 3 months! EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED IN EAST BLUE TOOK 2 WEEKS! (According to the timeline website) Wano took four years to come out in real life but was only 3 weeks long in the story!

The main protagonist can't steal devil fruits, he doesn't have a special menu or options to get stronger. It's effectively the one-piece world but one extra character was added.

Most of the people he's going to recruit are friends with the straw hats in the story already. The biggest difference is he'll be making the fleet instead of it being made after Luffy defeats Doflimingo. Any of the devil fruits he gains and gives to the crew will be unique to the story just for the sake of keeping it unique and interesting.

The protagonist is closer to a good guy than a bad one. He'll kill if it's necessary but doesn't like to. If Luffy leaves a strong and evil enemy alive he'll wait for everyone to leave to murder him. An example is if he was with the crew when they fought Arlong, he'd have made sure that he died there. Since he joins after that in the story Arlong is alive like he is in the original.

Smut is going to be less frequent than my other works and the protagonist isn't actively trying to build a harem... He has the harem protagonist luck where situations tend to swing toward him having sex.
