The Last of Undertale, Hunters Page 136, and Legion Blurb!

The Last of Undertale

I said some time ago that I had at last finished recording the Undertale Pacifist storyline. And now, the final part of the playthrough is about to get released. Well, for you viewers it'll be released for your early access!

I do hope fans and viewers have enjoyed this entire playthrough, which has spanned across months upon months, and I hope you enjoy me playing through the finale of this amazing game!

Hunters Page 136

Finally!!

I finally get to start on what might become my first real action scene, after over 130 pages. Sure, there have been a couple of others (notably with Tiq vs the bear), but many of the previous kinetic scenes have been drawn when I still was growing significantly with my drawing. I had to improve my skills with static scenes for a long time and I've gotten pretty good at it. And now that I have improved all that so much in recent years (months especially!) I get to apply some of what I've learned and figured out into what I hope will become the best kinetic/fight scene I've drawn to date!

Based on this page, do you think this scene has some potential for looking good? I'm still learning and it could be a little bit of a process, so we shall see!

Legion Blurb | Kay & Sammy

Believe it or not, the character interactions and dialogue of this particular story are some of my favorite ones to think about. It makes sense, given the wide diversity of characters presented in the story. However, even similar characters can have interesting dialogue.

Protagonist Sammy and deuteragonist Kay are both 2 of the only American characters (prominent or otherwise) in the series, but they are both very different people. And their first lengthy conversation I feel gives some insight into their personalities, and the story to come. And believe it or not, the words exchanged between these two characters doesn't happen in the way you think it does in the final product.

Let's get this unusual blurb started in 3.....2.......1!

Kay sipped on her water the entire time, and finished drinking from the glass only once. Right around then, her attention shifted to the TV in the deli. It was a news story, talking about something happening in a place called St. Paul. As Sammy and Kay watched, the former heard a familiar name during the news coverage.

“Legion......” she echoed.

“You've heard of them?”

Sammy nodded her head. “Yeah. Most people have.”

Kay leaned forward on the table, and eyed Sammy with a curious tilt to her head. “What do you know about them?”

“Not much,” Sammy responded. “It's full of kids, thousands of 'em. From all over the world.”

“Actually, there's only a few hundred of them.”

Sammy could not believe what she’d just heard. Of all the rumors over the last few years, most seemed set on the notion that there were thousands upon thousands of members. Was it actually smaller than she was aware? “Really? But....they're all over the world.”

“They’ve been known to travel great distances in short periods of time,” Kay explained.

“How do they do that?” Now Sammy too leaned forward, her brows furrowed as her curiosity peaked.

“Nobody really knows…”

That was rather disappointing to hear. She thought Kay might have some fascinating insight to that question, but perhaps not. Even so, she couldn’t help but feel a twinge of jealousy. “They're lucky.”

“How do you mean, Sammy?”

She paused before coming up with a response. “They get to go aaallll over the world. I can't imagine what the world is always like. It must be better than here.”

“New York City isn't a bad place,” said Kay.

“I don't know....sometimes I wish I could leave this city. Go out there.”

She couldn’t believe she was saying all of this so openly, and to a stranger no less. But in a strange way she felt a little at ease.

“Why's that?”

There was such a gentle and calm tone about Kay’s voice when she spoke, asking question after question. Despite the tenseness within her mind, Sammy could feel her muscles and breath slowly relaxing over time. But her eyes would not meet Kay and she instead stared at the half-eaten sandwich in front of her.

“I feel....trapped, sometimes. But out there? I mean...I just want some freedom.”

“What if you could have it?”

There was no hesitation with the teen’s question, and only pure sincerity in her tone. Sammy looked up with a start.

“What?”

“Freedom. The ability to explore the world around you.”

Sammy shrugged her shoulders and leaned back. “Is that even possible?”

“I don't see why not.”

“Well, it sounds crazy. Maybe I should join up with Legion and convince them to take me around the world and out of this city.”

Kay paused, for a single moment.

“Maybe you can. If you ask the right person.”
