Back to Writing Awakening

I've been doing it! I've been writing a little more often lately as I intended to!

Technically I am working on two stories at once, but more of my focus has been set on my upcoming trilogy Awakening. The first book will still take some time to finish, but I've got the general jist of every chapter along with some details, and already I'm on track to finishing about half the book soon!

I've been putting some chapters on Wattpad at https://www.wattpad.com/story/248653866-awakening. But I'm ahead on a few chapters in the writing and editing process......and I think I can write some interesting tension and mystery in my supernatural trilogy even in just the first installment that's still in the first draft/editing phase!

"I'll go find out what's going on." With a tap on Cameron's shoulder, Blake worked his way into the crowd, trying to slip through with as much ease as he could muster. He could see the side of Amelia's face now, but she had not noticed his approach. Her gaze was instead fixated on something on the ground before her. So Blake knew he had to call out.

"Amelia!" he shouted amidst the fray of students. "Amelia, what's going on-?"

He screeched to a halt as soon as he pulled himself to the front of the throng, mere feet away from Amelia. The crowd surrounded two students, one of whom was collapsed on the ground and unmoving. But he did not expect to see June gently shaking the fallen student as if to wake them. And the collapsed teenager...was that Jenna, from the classroom?

Blake slowly approached the both of them, his heart racing. But Amelia reached her arm out to forcefully prevent him from going forward any further. Blake was startled, even just a bit annoyed, so when he called to June for her attention, she twisted her neck. And he understand even as as the disbelief settled.

There was red sprayed all across her face.

Hunters Page 141

This page was intended to be finished by July 1st....but June was already a crazy month and I was barely able to make deadlines for all the pages then. So instead, I delayed the page for the next deadline, which was July 11th.

And I am happy to report and reveal that this page has been finished a few days before the public release deadline!

Pages with kinetic scenes are definitely more difficult than I'm used to, but luckily, I do believe that I am getting used to them, as [what I believe to be] evidenced by the last few page. Not only that but I think I've improved with the lighting as well! What do you guys think?

I'm planning on only another page or two of a training montage before I bring some other characters back into the mix. I've got plans for the rest of this chapter and I cannot wait to see how it turns out!
