A New Writing Schedule

Wednesdays are now my writing days!

Okay, well, I could simplify it like that. I knew I needed to write more often, and told myself I needed to dedicate a single afternoon/evening to do so. For National Novel Writing Month in 2019, I would spend many evenings at a restaurant and write. Believe it or not the background noise wasn't as distracting as you'd think it would be, especially with the occasional food or drink.

And I've got other motivation: my boyfriend will be joining me! He doesn't write fiction, but he does love classifying and writing down notes for thinks like astronomy, entomology, Legend of Zelda......he's a very nerdy and geeky guy and I love that! But immediately after work on Wednesdays, we're gonna go out together and just hang out and write. That's it. We both get the motivation to work on some more constructive projects more often from both each other and the regular background noise of people chatter and whatnot.

Because of that I've decided to switch up South Park reaction release dates to Thursdays since Wednesdays I won't be at home for about 12+ hours. And you know what? I am perfectly content with that. I need to write more, and if I want to finish this first novel draft by the end of the year then I gotta put more motivation and energy into it!  

And a neat little fun fact I would like to add. Would you believe it if I told you I've got all chapter titles planned for the entire first installment of my Awakening trilogy? Because I do!

I do not often give chapters names, but I felt compelled for this particular story and for once I don't really hate the names I've selected. In some cases, the chapter names are obvious. Some might have double meanings. And others might still be a mystery even to those that have read the chapter:

1: Chill
2: Burn
3: Blaze
4: Box
5: Faint
6: Shadow
7: Sermon
8: Animosity
9: Notes (the most current and revised chapter on Wattpad)
10: Instinct
11: Appearance
12: Emergence (the chapter I am currently writing)
13: Voice
14: Illness
15: Cause
16: Shadow
17: Thunder
18: Disappearance
19: Demand
20: Attack
21: Immunity
22: Power
23: Seal
24: Cure
25: Recovery
26: Scythe

Now are some of these subject to change? Of course they are. You can't plan an entire novel and expect it to go exactly how you expect. There will be some changes and updates along the way. But, as I approach the halfway mark of the first written draft, I grow more and more confident with where the story will go.

And does this seem like a lot of chapters? Perhaps. But this is the length I'm going for. And I am certain that plenty of the later chapters will be a bit on the shorter side, so it may not be as long as some people think it could!

I'm thinking about working on either some concept art, or general art for this particular story. Likely the latter, since I'm not the best at drawing humans still. But I could definitely use some practice, and being able to share some art for my hope-to-later-publish story could be a neat treat for some patrons!
