South Park Season 10 Begins!
Added 2021-11-02 15:00:06 +0000 UTCJust because content will be a little slower this month does not mean it has completely halted! And this is a perfect example of why!
There was a bit of a break between Seasons 9 and 10 of South Park reactions (and I still have not yet finished the reviews for most Season 9 episodes), but I still intend to proceed on schedule with the reactions for Season 10, at least in regards to reaction early access.
And where do we start but Episode 1! I gotta say, I'm not for sure how to feel about this particular episode, but damn if it didn't make an impression! I actually almost starting tearing up, and questioning all kinds of things. But I'm sure many know by now: Chef is gone. He's not coming back.
Darth Chef is NOT the Chef we all know and love. I will never accept that.
Anyways, enjoy the reaction! And prepare for them to start being released on Fridays as opposed to Thursdays!!

It's a very good point you make, and makes sense when you put it that way. I'll have to look into it a bit more; overall not the situation everyone wanted to be in at the time it was all happening, I'm sure......but Stone and Parker had to do something however people would take it.

2021-11-03 14:27:34 +0000 UTCI'm not sure, but I think I just accidentally deleted long comment... so here I go again, little shorter this time... 😅 Super adventure club is basically scientology, entire episode is about how scientology brainwashed Isaac. For the more he didn't want to quit, he was forced out by church. So what they say at funeral is goodbye speach to Isaac - they say that they will remember good staff and that they not angry at him, but at "club that scrambled his brain". But don't worry, Isaac was a comedian and I'm sure he took it fine, he understood south park style, here's what he said in the interview (even few months after "trapped in the closet episode") Interviewer: There's some pretty harsh satire on South Park. They don't really care who they offend. Isaac: But that's their thing! They're success was built on that cutting-edge stuff. I've had to defend them a lot of times. One time on BET Tonight I defended them because Tavis Smiley, the host on that show, was coming at me. It was a call-in show, too, so people were calling in. I told them not to take this stuff seriously. If you do, you'll get in trouble. Just enjoy it. Remember your high-school yearbook? You look at those pictures now, you laugh, right? That's what South Park is. You got to laugh at it. Because we cursed, but we just didn't dare let the principals, the teachers, or the preachers hear it. And we didn't turn out bad, okay? Just look at it that way. Also, usually there's some kind of moral message at the end for the kids, by the Chef.

2021-11-02 15:10:09 +0000 UTCThis was the first episode I remember hating from the show. I understand that most of the jokes in the show are all in good fun but the way Parker and Stone handled Chef’s exit felt very bitter and petty. I’m not saying Isaac Hayes was in the right for leaving the show because of the Scientology episode, but the character deserved far better.
