Some cool news for everybody! Despite the upcoming move that my sister Seren and I are working hard at, I have still been trying to work on some projects to make sure that patrons and YouTube viewers are still satisfied. Such as this art and video project that I'm about to share with you!
Recently, I hosted a livestream for Sea Otter patrons where I worked on a secret project, which was quite fun I will add at that! I won't share all the details or every piece I worked on during that livestream, but I will share the first completed portion which is one involving comic protagonist Laruk.
That's right, I am officially announcing to all patrons that I am starting a tarot deck series for the Hunters comic! Does it seem silly? Maybe a slight bit to some people. But an idea got suggested to me a while back that eventually evolved into this project series that I just fell in love with the more I thought about it.
Not only is my art style very different from anything I had tried before, but I meticulously looked up the meanings behind every card in the major arcana and made sure to tie them in with specific characters.
Take Laruk's character for example and her card representation, the Moon. Based on my research, one orientation denotes fear, anxiety, confusion, delusion, and risk, whereas the other orientation indicates overcoming fear, finding truth, conquering anxiety, and gaining clarity. The symbolism of the moon is strongly connected with emotions and illusions, the imagination and the facing of reality, the caution to accept what things seem to be but to also dig deeper and let light shine on the fallacies of life.
A very large portion of this relates to Laruk in many ways, as she was alone and confused and fearful of the world due to abandonment. Her journey will rely on her overcoming her anxieties and facing reality so she can become stronger despite life and the world seemingly going against her. But that will be up to her......and even if she can gain clarity and grow stronger in some aspects it does not mean she will do so in all aspects.
This is how much thought I have put into this series. I have the characters for all 22 major arcana cards picked out, and have found these "cards" quite easy to draft and color in.....so expect to see more of these in the future.
Let's switch topics now shall we! If some people aren't interested in the Hunters card, they may be interested to know of another compilation I have been diligently working on lately! Some of you may know of the Nogla Misspeaking compilation.....and remember that it was only a Part 1 video.
Well guess what, I have a Part 2 that is in the works and should be completed relatively soon, likely before my sister and I fully move to our new temporary home! (long story short, we're moving temporarily to a townhome until a bigger duplex will be available [hopefully] a month or two later).

And here's a sneak preview of what it is looking like so far! I was hoping the final product would be a bunch shorter than the first one.....but it looks like it's only shorter by a few minutes. Oh well! Enjoy this sneak peek regardless!
