2022-04-19 13:09:33 +0000 UTCThis is such a heartwarming episode. It’s surprisingly been a long time since we’ve gotten an episode focusing on Ike and this was a great one in my opinion. I could be reading into the scene too much but I love how the first time Ike starts to have doubts about the clearly wrong and horrific romantic relationship he has with his adult teacher is when she asks him to stop watching tv and talk to her instead. Ike is too young to understand why his relationship is morally, legally and completely wrong, but its only when he is asked to stop watching tv that he starts to have second thoughts, reinforcing the fact that he’s still just a kid. Again, I could be reading too much into that but I absolutely love that detail.
