South's Park's First Trilogy of Episodes?! (Imaginationland)
Added 2023-01-26 23:00:02 +0000 UTCWell this is a first! Yes, the movie was considered a three-parter as well but that was ages ago! This is a literal trilogy of episodes that go in directions that I did not see coming. I mean, when it comes to South Park it's hard to see anything coming...but I unfortunately think I'm getting a little better at figuring out what to expect from this wacky series (no idea if that's a good or a bad thing).
Crazy things are happening in South Park's combined imaginationscape and it's up to some of the kids to save everyone's imagination. More specifically it's up to Butters, Butters of all characters! There were so many storylines here and so many conceptual references from all manner of major media franchises out there that I'm still certain I did not name them all!
I was already planning on watching a couple of SP episodes last night but I wasn't freaking expecting to be suddenly watching a whole trilogy of episodes. So here you all go!

And yeah, maybe ArtSpear Entertainment did take inspiration from this! It is certainly possible! A director's cut sounds really interesting actually; if I can find that maybe I can watch that too for patrons, it would be a nice little addition to the SP series that doesn't just have episode reactions.

2023-01-27 06:42:29 +0000 UTCHow South Park didn’t get sued for showing so many licensed characters (and having a lot of them die in brutal ways) is beyond me. I may be wrong but something tells me the two people behind the Super Hero Bowl series took inspiration from this. Seeing characters like Popeye, Luke Skywalker, Jason Voorhees and so many others all together just makes me can’t help but think that. Overall I still love this trilogy and still come back to it all the time. There’s even a directors cut of these episodes with so much additional content that’s honestly just as hilarious. The fact that they even made a directors cut just speaks volumes to how huge these episodes were for the show at the time. I’m so glad you got to this trilogy. I’ve been looking forward to seeing your reaction to these three episodes in particular and it did not disappoint. Fantastic video as always.

2023-01-27 03:22:24 +0000 UTCI mean, I suppose that one counts? That trilogy was more loosely connected though, and each of the stories were still very different even if they overlapped. But this was the first trilogy with a single overarching tale that connected a lot of characters to the same events and moved along the same story.
