South Park Season 11 Episode 8 (Le Petit Tourette) Is Actually Here!
Added 2023-02-07 15:00:05 +0000 UTCI am finally and correctly caught up! I mean I still have two more episodes of the season to watch, but now there's not a random episode in the season that I had to briefly skip and watch at a later date for reasons.
So. This episode clearly focuses on a neurodivergent disorder that I'm sure lots of people have heard of (though I don't necessarily know if people were as familiar with Tourette's back when this episode came out...). Funny enough I actually have a little personal experience as I knew someone in high school with this same disorder. And when I say I knew someone, I don't mean I passed them in the halls for classes and heard their name on occasion. No, this was someone I actively hung out with (or more accurately their friend group), so based on observation and what they've said I know a thing or two about Tourette's from personal experience.
As I said during the conclusion: I would have love nothing more than for Cartman to absolutely embarrass himself after the shit he tried to pull throughout the episode. And naturally, Kyle saw right through it (since he tends to get the most crap from Cartman of course he saw through it). That said it was nice to see that Tourette's actually got some decent representation here, so that's pretty neat!
