South Park Season 12 Episode 4! (Canada On Strike)

Holy wow, the early YouTube and Internet video references are here, and ones I can actually remember and understand!

Almost silly how it started with Canada going on strike (whatever that means) and turned into "Let's list off all these old video references that some people will certainly understand and/or remember!" And oh boy did I! So many memories from a before time, that being 15-ish years ago. It really was a different time, wasn't it?

And don't even get me started on this Mister-President-Director-Guy-Buddy-Friend of the WGA or whatever the frick it is. Moron from start to finish....

Hahaha! The weirdness of what happened between Terrence and Phillip and the director dude reminded me of the clip that I shared. Same energy from all three bits (South Park, Among Us, and Rush Hour that is)

Idk why nobody pointed this out but what on earth happened 11 minutes and 30 seconds in

Moonie

They abbreviated the 'World Canadian Bureau' to 'WGA' because they were parodying the 'Writer's Guild of America' which had a strike in 2007 which was the year before this episode aired.

Miff

The Karen who was going "Leave Chocolate Rain Guy alone!" That was Chris Crocker of Leave Britney Alone fame which was all over the place everyone made a parody of that. XD

Kik

Yeah it was weird I think he only sued South Park years after this episode and probably lost.

Kik

oh wait is that actually true i remember hearing about it but i wasn't 100% sure if it was true

Slackity

Fun fact: the guy who made the video actually sued the show for parodying it.

Adam Grunther

that song butters was singing was an actual video on youtube that someone made https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbGkxcY7YFU
