South Park Season 12 Episode 7 (Super Fun Time)

Oooh, a reenactment town!

....(watches for just a few seconds)....

Oh, one of those kinds of reenactment towns....

Even by the end there's just no proper explanation given as to why these people (the manager in particular) are so damn devoted to keeping up the roleplay no matter the circumstances, it just doesn't make any sense! Reenactments and roleplays like this can be made fun and interesting and teachable, but you've got to do it in just the right way.

This episode is indicating to me that Stone and Parker probably find these kinds of villages/experiences to be laughable, or at the very least they probably seen the people working in these kinds of places as a little too committed. I made a comment about comedy regarding this and I think I was onto something there.

Oh yeah, and I can't forget about the Cartman and Butters moments! The latter really surprised me this episode, in a good way!

To be fair I don't eat at Burger King or McDonald's at all so the prices might not necessarily as "cheap" as I said it was (I do eat Subway on occasion, but a single sub can often provide multiple meals for me personally so that's a little different). It was also something I should have clarified a bit more as I sometimes refer to fast food places as "cheap" when I really mean something more akin to "low quality" food (which it is). Part of it too could be that Germany and US have different economies so cheap may mean different things to us, but of course it also depends on location, other nearby restaurants and "restaurants", and personal income. Still, you're absolutely right. Expensive trash is what it is indeed.

Burger King is cheap? Since when? Maybe it's my german point of view, but prices for Mc Donalds, Burger King or Subway are ridicolous here. Last time I had a sub I paid like 9 Euro (I would get 3 sandwiches like that for that price at a normal bakery) and my last Burger King menu was around 12 Euro. For that price I would get Schnitzel, fries and salad, freshly made at a restaurant. But then I know that we have way lower food prices here in general. So that american fast food seems really expensive here, in reference to quality. But "poor" people wouldn't go to those fast food chains here. But people who have only little time and nothing else around. Mostly workers in industrial areas, who need a quick lunch break. Or some drunk late night party people, coming out of the club. Maybe it's trash. But expensive trash. 😆

Cartmans speech he gives to butters about "having fun while you live life, or else you'll miss it" is a reference to "Ferris Buellers day out"

Icarus Crowne

I wouldn't have guessed as I've never seen it!

This entire episode was just a die hard parody

Pea Tear Griffin finally got his bank account out of the red.

Who knows? Lots of things are impossible to explain.

Otterpop

Me too! And yet it's hilarious since RDR 1 came out 2 years after this episode!

Otterpop

Yeah, I couldn't help but think of RDR while watching this episode for the first time.
