Important Tier Changes Post!!

Please read, this will affect patron statuses, monthly and annual payments, and benefits!

After a lot of consideration, and after getting feedback from numerous individuals and based on the results of the recent Patreon poll, I have decided to change around tiers once more.

However because Patreon cannot allow me to change tier prices while patrons are currently pledged, I will have to create brand new tiers, unpublish the old ones to prevent new people from joining, and eventually delete the old tiers. Starting September 1st, the old Otterlings and Sea Otters tiers will be retired and unpublished, and the new tiers listed below will be published and available for people to switch to. Steps are currently being made to manually change the availability of current Patreon posts to old and new tiers.

Once tiers are unpublished no new members can join. New posts will NOT be made available to the old Otterling and Sea Otters tiers. I am unable to change tiers for supporters (for obvious reasons), so patrons themselves will need to pledge to new tiers on their own, delete their own pledges entirely, etc. Payments may still go through with tiers that are unpublished, so be sure to change or remove pledges. I will keep the old tiers available until October 1st, where they will be promptly deleted.

IF YOU ARE AN OTTERPUP:

• You will NOT need to worry about changing tiers as the price will remain the same, as will a number of the benefits
• This will likely not affect any annual pledges depending on what you were desiring from this tier; I will approach possible refunds on a case-by-case basis.
• You will still have access to South Park and new Hunters comic pages as well as the opportunity to request a single character sketch once a month.
• All patrons will still have access to my Trello project management page to see where I stand on all my projects (video, art, and writing alike)
• I am removing the patron shout-out benefits from this and the new Otterling tier due to the large list of patrons becoming hard to manage with video edits; that said I will still give general thanks to patrons as often as I can across my videos
• Work-in-progress sneak peeks and drafts for videos and art projects will no longer be included in this tier, although that may very well change
• The only changes necessary will come from my end, and that will be removing patron access to any of the videos you currently have early access to.

IF YOU ARE AN OTTERLING:

• The new Otterling tier will be $6/month instead of $7 with a change in benefits
• Otterlings will now have early access to all new videos posted on Otterpop and OtterpopTV, but reactions will have transparent videos, adjusted audio, etc.
• I will be removing the newsletter reward, patrons will have early access to art and writing drafts and work-in-progress images, and Hunters pages will provide work-in-progress images and more -in depth information.
• I will also be removing the ability for patrons to request video projects here

IF YOU ARE A SEA OTTER:

This is where some of the biggest changes have occurred, because there are now two different tiers to choose between each with different benefits and prices that are based off of the current Sea Otter tier.

River Otters --> $12/month

• This is a slight downgrade of the Sea Otter tier, but also for less money.
• As with the Otterlings River Otters have early access to all videos, unlike Otterlings though, this new tier will also have access to high-resolution, non-transparent, unedited videos of all reactions, as well as early and even exclusive access to various art and writing projects of mine.
• River Otters will have the option to choose between a traditional art commission OR a short video project request with similar limitations and rules to what they currently are for Otterlings
• Instead of all patrons, only patrons at this tier and the next will get shout-outs in some of my videos
• Rivers Otters will have access to a private Discord channel on my server, one where I am more chill, more active, and more open about things

Sea Otters --> $25/month

• This is the priciest tier I have ever offered, and I fully expect not many will support, but I believe this is necessary to include
• The major difference between this and the River Otters tier is that while River Otters have to choose between an art commission and a short video project, Sea Otters can easily request both in a single month
• Sea Otters will be the only ones to receive exclusive behind-the-scenes content such as special vlogs and tours, showing my editing process, and other neat stuff that could be requested

I have not changed around the Patreon tiers in some time, but this was a necessary change. Due to the demonetization of my YouTube channel, and the same to very likely happen with my new OtterpopTV channel, and due to me likely overworking myself with the patron tiers, changes were necessary.

In some cases it's to the benefit of the patron. Doing it this way also makes it easier for me to classify Patreon posts given the wide variety of content that I had. I was considering going more benefit-specific for patrons, but realized that the wider variety of content is what plenty of people like about me and my channel so therefore giving the tiers varied benefits was the direction I needed to go.

I could not risk burnout, but even moreso, I needed to make changes as the success of Patreon will from this point determine my ability to make YouTube content. Hopefully, it works in my favor. But only time will tell.
