A few weeks ago GLITCH Studios came out with another episode, not of Murder Drones, but rather The Amazing Digital Circus. And, it just so happens a patron was like, "Can you watch this?" and I thought to myself "I'm not surprised you asked!" And so I obliged.
Unlike most of my other reactions/commentary videos, I didn't pause once. That said there were a bunch of thoughts going through my head as I watched the episode, and I made sure to take note of them and discuss all said points at the end (well, the ones I could remember to take note of anyhow).
This episode definitely leaned towards heavier subjects. Not entirely, but it showed signs of inching closer to those. Feelings of nothingness, existentialism, belonging, having a support system...this indie animation series is surprisingly well-thought out. There are still a ton of questions, and something close to but not quite nuanced about this whole story and world. And the variety of the characters absolutely help make that possible.
Also...is it just me or does Zooble keep getting sidelined somehow whether by choice or not? Nothing to analyze there just yet, but noticed it had essentially happened twice now.
