The sun is now setting after 7 p.m. in my part of the world, which means a few rays still shine after my work day ends. Sunset hiking season has officially begun, and my mood is 110% better! Sorry, Southern Hemisphere friends.

Photographers Are on a Mission to Fix Wikipedia's Famously Bad Celebrity Portraits
Because Wikipedia requires all images to be openly licensed, most on the site are old, outdated, or simply bad. Enter WikiPortraits, a project dedicated to improving these photos.

American Scientists are now considering "scientific exile"  because of budget cuts, mass layoffs, and federal grant freezes, pointing to the "brain drain" typically seen in authoritarian countries.

SUNKISSED | A Super 8 Film
I touched on this last week, but I have a Super 8 video slotted for late spring that I'll be researching (watching YouTube videos endlessly) for the foreseeable future. I really loved the definitions on screen here. At first, I thought it was cheesy, but by the end of the video, I was all in.

Introducing the Polaroid Now+ Generation 3
Although the cameras and film are more expensive and less reliable, out of all the cameras I own, including Instax models, the Polaroid I-2 is the one I pull from the drawer the most when I want to try something new in my photography practice. The manual controls are great to have, and the film's tone feels unique, albeit sometimes a touch too green. But when it comes to easy-to-use instant film cameras, like Polaroid's new Now+, I am sure that the $150 price tag is far too high and the film too unreliable for the masses. I'll have to put it to the test to be sure though.
