What a rollercoaster! I don’t why I like these reconciliation scenarios so much, but I do. I honestly got angry when he said his assistant would never lie to him. Like, “Oh, she’d never lie but I, your wife, am a treacherous hellcat?!” Then I remembered I’m not married 😅 I rather like that I left it to him to think of an appropriate apology. Reminds me of those rural American parents that will make their child cut their own switch from the tree for their spanking (or as my family called it, a good larrupin’!)
