Kallie's story from the field!

Here's a story from Kallie about one of her first times working in the field. Sounds rough...

What do you want to hear our hosts talk about next?

I'd love to hear about parts of paleontology that surprised them, and some of the coolest things they've seen or learned!

As someone from Arizona, this story resonated with me on a deep level 😅 Glad you had someone to help you pull the spines out, Kallie!

Here's an update from Kallie on the fossils found: "The year before the team found a baby Triceratops skull, so most of the team was working on that excavation. I mostly prospected. Found lots of microfossil sites - turtles, crocs, gar, coprolites, etc. I also found a whole rib from something - probably a Triceratops or hadrosaur. But sadly it wasn't connected to the rest of the skeleton."

Did you find any fossils? If so, what were they?

So *none* of your experience in Kansas was useful in Montana? I would think basic excavation skills would carry over. But I am not an archeologist. I am glad the EMT was able to patch you up Kallie. Stay strong. :)

That's a great story but did you find anything? And what about the cat did he find anything?
