Oddly, and maybe its just so many years of Vaugebook (and on other platforms) posts of people trolling for sympathy after an argument with family members, and way too many “its okay, I rarely speak to my nuclear family as well” comments that it does seem almost normal NOT to have any sort of decent relationship with parents and/or siblings or any other blood relatives (never mind for personal politics reasons), and find bonds closer with friends, even those you only know from cyberspace. I mean I agree it was eye roll worthy that they connected over good relations with their nuclear blood families, but sadly that seems to be just one of the many ways families are defined nowadays. No idea why I felt the need to “correct” you (so to speak), but its just something I’ve noticed as a trend in recent years/decades. Any way, great show, can’t wait to hear the Danish Guy interact with The Germans on HBO! ;)
