Yeah we all had different childhoods lol. Never wanted my nails pink or liked barbie. My 11 year old loves Marvel comics and video games and doesn't want or can relate to a disney princess. Nothing wrong with girls liking transformers or ninja turtles etc. But my friends daughter loves frozen and girl characters more.

2018-11-12 01:02:11 +0000 UTCI loved your bit about gender roles. I've been following Let Toys Be Toys (For Girls and Boys) on Facebook for years. You should check them out. They work in the UK, but I hope the trend will get to the USA soon. I was a "tomboy" (which is an annoying phrase to me 'cause I'm all girl) when I was younger. It's always bothered me that some toys were for "boys". I loved Voltron and Transformers and Thundercats and caught constant guff for it.
