The Magneto-optical disk was quote popular in Japan and Sony made many types. These disk were called WORM which meaning Write Only Read Many.. so you can put on some information one time and use many time but you can never change after. Sony made some disk quite big like 5GB .. and this was how the MiniDisc was made. Sony find a way take this Magento-Optical and change to smaller 1GB minidisc that can be write many times. 😮
This is the progress and how Minidisc is started in 1992!! 😄
