This is because it was a game made by Capcom and produced by Nintendo. You can see Hiroshi Yamauchi and Shigeru Miyamoto here on the credit also..
This game was directed by Makoto Ikehara who also worked on many of the Breath of Fire games for Capcom! 🤗
