Thank you Carly! Your story honestly touched me so deeply. I am forever grateful to anyone who takes the time out of their lives to make a huge difference in someone else's. I have always wanted to donate blood, but obviously have never been able to. What I can do is spread awareness. Blood donors are truly life savers! I’m so sorry you have been through so much, but I’m so happy that the RED CROSS does such great work and has been able to help you! The Red Cross is near and dear to my heart as well! My cousin, who was a nurse, was killed by a drunk driver in 2017. She was passionate about giving blood, and gave blood often. Now, in order to honor my cousin; her family, friends, and co-workers hold a blood drive near her birthday every year. As a family, we also give blood every January 22nd (the day she was killed). It’s amazing that we can save multiple lives every time we give blood. So Garmy, please get out there and make your appointment to give blood :)
