Maybe the caller with the turn signal had just pulled up to a left hand turn lane that just turned red and has an exceptionally long cycle. We all know someplace a left hand turn takes AGES if you don't get there when it's green. It would also explain why he knew he had plenty of time to call in.

2022-12-22 09:24:42 +0000 UTCRalph you left out the best part of the Dawson City hockey story. After traveling for a month they ended up losing both games against Ottawa. The first game was 9-2 and the second was 23-2. I remember this from the NHL 75th Anniversary VHS that I had as a kid.
