After all the planning and preparation we finally begin on our epic crossing of the Indian Ocean. It was one of the craziest sails we've had to date seeing just about every weather condition imaginable. This is just the first of a few videos we're going to document the passage with. Enjoy! Sailing time! Delos leaves the Andaman Islands behind and sets out on our 1,700 sail to Cocos Keeling, Australia! We plan for about 3 weeks at sea. The sail is one of our trickiest avoiding the changing monsoon season in the northern Indian Ocean, and setting ourselves up for the massive south east trade winds of the south. We run down the coast of Sumatra, Indonesia dodging squalls and dealing with big seas. We make a couple of good weather calls, a few bad ones, but after getting knocked around a bit we finally cross the equator and Delos is in the Southern hemisphere again!
