The future of Mobile-Companion
Added 2024-05-17 06:54:16 +0000 UTCHey Fellows,
I just wanted to share my future plans for Mobile-Companion with you.
Upcoming Features and Fixes:
First on the agenda is adding an encumbrance indicator to D&D 5e and addressing any reported bugs. Once that's done, I'll pause D&D 5e development to focus on other systems. I'll begin with Level Up: Advanced 5th Edition (A5e) by implementing the inventory system. I already have a prototype to build upon, so we're halfway there!
Next, I plan to move to Pathfinder Second Edition and implement the inventory system. However, if there's a high demand for something else - say, D&D 5e spells - I might change course. Remember, Gold Goblet Guzzlers can vote on these priorities ;)
Patreon Memberships:
Now, I need to discuss a somewhat inconvenient topic: Patreon memberships. Some features of Mobile-Companion will require a Silver Sword Swinger subscription. I know this isn't ideal, but please hear me out.
I am incredibly grateful for all the current patrons supporting my work. Developing a module like Sheet-Only already takes considerable time, but Mobile-Companion is another beast entirely. It's designed from scratch to ensure it fits perfectly on a smartphone screen. Moreover, each system requires its own groundwork due to different data models and poorly documented structures. This means I'm pouring a lot more time into Mobile-Companion than all my other modules combined.
To be transparent, I can't maintain this level of work without cutting down on my day job, and I need to offset the lost income by adding a price tag to this module.
I genuinely appreciate your understanding and compassion. I promise to continue providing regular updates and new features for Mobile-Companion.
Thank you for being part of this journey!

Hey there! This post might be the wrong place. Mobile-Companion is a different module. But to answer your question: Yes, I am still working on the movement functionality :) It will be ready for Early Access (Silver Sword Swinger subscription) within the next two to three weeks. About one month after early access it will be available for all Copper Coin Collectors.

2024-05-18 16:02:55 +0000 UTCIs movement on sheet only still actively being worked on? This module is literally exactly when I've been looking for to minimize what my players need to sort through in our in person sessions using a custom table for foundry. The only thing missing is a set of arrow keys so they don't have to point at the table to tell me where they want to go.
