Patreon Fee Changes? What the hell is up?!?!
Added 2017-12-11 13:47:36 +0000 UTCWe were as surprised as you to get the message from Patreon regarding the change in how they are handling credit card and transaction fees. The communication was really very, very bad on Patreon's side and we got quite a few concerned messages from you all. Which we happily passed onto Patreon so thank you for that! :) :)
In a nut shell- the processing fees are now taken out on top of your pledge instead of from it. This is actually beneficial to us as we receive a larger portion of your pledge, however it is crappy for you because now the total amount of your pledge has increased by the transaction fee amount. We really preferred it the other way but unfortunately Patreon didn't solicit any feedback from us.

It is kind of an awakening for us realizing just how dependent we are on the Patreon service for our survival, We sort of have all our eggs in one basket here which is a little scary.
