Ahoy Patrons! Hope your having a beautiful day wherever in the world you might be :)
Blue and I are putting plans together to sail from the Canary Islands to the Caribbean and are in the process of picking crew! Of course, we wanted to let our PATRONS know first and be involved in the process. This is not a drawing and doesn't guarantee we will have a patron on board, but it's really important to us to have you be in the mix! Please read the details of the passage below and if it's something you'd be able to do then comment below AND please go to http://svdelos.com/atlantic to fill out the brief questionnaire.
After watching as many Delos episodes as you probably have as a Patron, we hope you can understand that there can be many decisions going into pulling together a crew. We have a couple potential crew at the moment, and depending on how things fall into place- we want to be sure that we set ourselves up for a safe and successful passage. That being said, we wanted to reach out to our Patrons and get your names in the mix, and see if we can find a good fit from our innermost tribe.
DETAILS
~Please read carefully and only fill out the questionnaire if your serious about making it~
We will cover room, board, and moonshine while on Delos but you will be responsible for your travel to Delos in Lanzarote, Canary Islands and your travel from Antigua back to your home
DATES - You would need to get yourself to Lanzarote, Canary Islands by October 28th 2019. We will plan to depart anytime after October 31st when we have a weather window and Delos is ready! The sail is 2,800 + miles! There is a chance we could be at sea for 3 weeks or more. Because there are so many variables involved with a sail this long we can not give a date or location to fly out from in the Caribbean. The "rough plan" is to make it to Antigua by the end of November where you can then fly out, or enjoy the caribbean for a bit on your own. BUT there is no certainty where or when we make landfall so the arrangements to leave Delos will be left until the last minute.
THINGS TO CONSIDER
1. A massive amount of sailing experience isn't a must but we want you to consider that the longest sail Delos has ever done was 21 days covering 3100 miles. This could be as challenging if not more.
2. We will experience all sailing conditions! (Including the shitty ones!)
3. You will be living in very close quarters with other people from different parts of the world.
4. You will be expected to be crew! This means doing watches and being part of the cooking/cleaning schedule, being in front of the camera and picking up the camera from time to time.
5. This is not a crew drawing, this is a way for us to see if someone in the inner tribe is the perfect fit :)
6.We will cover room, board, and moonshine while on Delos but you will be responsible for your travel to Delos in Lanzarote and your travel back home from the Caribbean.
If everything above sounds like a good fit to you then please comment below AND go to http://svdelos.com/atlantic to fill out the brief questionnaire.
If you have any questions please type them below! Thanks for all the love and support and we're really excited to get you involved in something as big as this!
Much Love,
Brady and Blue
