Sometimes Paradise Isn't Enough 😢 Sailing Vessel Delos Ep. 427

Hey hey Patreon Fam!  This is certainly not the first time we've explored this topic, but since this is such a big part of our lifestyle its a theme that comes up often...the delicate and alternating dance between highs and lows.  Sailing has brought us the most truly memories, experiences, and friendships...it brought our family together and allows us to explore the most beautiful and remote corners of the world.  But it's true that sometimes it can be damn exhausting and challenging.  And even thought we often find ourselves living in dreamy, post card perfect destinations, that doesn't mean it's all sunshine and rainbows as you will see in today's episode.  In particular you will see that one of our toughest moments is saying goodbye to our sweet Hannah.  She has such a special place in our family and in our heart, and she has been dearly missed.  Leave her some love in the comments and we will make sure and pass it along to her, and also make sure and subscribe to her YT channel to keep following her adventures :) https://www.youtube.com/@hannahsailing2324

We hope you enjoy this episode, and have an amazing weekend! As always, thank you so much for sharing and supporting this beautiful adventure with us 🫶

Lots of love from Moorea

We meant gnarliest in French Polynesia, you've got a great memory that was DEF the gnarliest dock of the trip 😳😳😳

Sailing SV Delos

Thanks Mike and yes we are so grateful for the time we had with her! Such an awesome crew, so many fun times and also a great sailor and crew member, and auntie to Sierra.

I know right that anchor 😂 We mostly use it when we throw out a stern anchor, but we were cracking up watching that clip again lugging it around on maggie. And thanks for the kind words for Hannah, I'm sure she will appreciate it 💕

Good job putting the outakes on after that emotionally draining episode. Always leave them smiling! Best wishes for Hannah and her mom.

Sean Murray

thank you so much for sharing. You guys are incredible. We are sending good thoughts to Hannah and her family.

Brian Travis

Oh boy, you really captured all the emotions and it feels so real. These islands are stunning!!! I hope Hannah’s Mom is better and can’t wait for next week’s episode.

Myra Slepoy

Best of luck and love to Hannah and her family.

Dani Hoy

Prayers for Hannah's Mom, family illness is never easy. Great episode.

Emily

Guys... first of all hope Hannah's family is ok. Life is a rollercoaster and you showed us in this video. Felt every up and every down. You captured it, edited it, and created yet another amazing episode. Thank you.

Chris K

The gnarliest dock? Even worse than the Atlantic crossing (was it Ascension or St. Helena?)? Lol

Michael Williams

I am glad we were warned that Hannah had to leave ...... otherwise the beginning of the video would have been too suspense filled. DELOS was lucky to have had Hannah on the long voyage ...... and I hope she will be back soon ...... but I wish they all could come back ..... especially Jordan and Lisbeth! We should all be so lucky as to meet you on your way around Mother Earth. Keep 'em flyin

Bonne Mike

We will miss you Hannah and look forward to your reunion with Delos.

Jim Bickerstaff

I just can't get over the beauty and rawness of that place. I imagine more of the world looked like that before we ruined it with all our "progress". Good luck Hannah!

Michael Conway

Saying goodbye is always hard but I am so glad that Hannah was able to go home to be with her mom. Life throws changes at us fast and it is being able to surf those changes that makes life easier. I'm so glad that Hannah was able to rejoin you to make the Pacific crossing and I know that she will be with you again in the future. You have such a wonderful extended family!!❤️⛵️

CATHERINE HACKETT

The sadness is just a measure of the love, and it's BIG love. Sending hugs.

Colleen Balch

Oh Kazza, your breaking my heart. I understand the sadness you feel saying good bye to Hannah. You phrased it right when you said how close everybody gets living, working, and sharing everything together. It was also so sudden when Hannah's departure was unscheduled..., with little time to mentally prepare. Hannah, thank you for sharing your time on Delos with the Tribe. Your a joy to watch and listen too. I love your playful spirit and how close you have become with the Delos crew. May God watch over you and your Mom especially. All of us of the Tribe will have her in our thoughts and prayers. Much Love and see you on the next tack !

Mickey Finn

Nice anchor you got there! You need a bigger boat to haul that thing around! Haha. Kaza you are right, It doesn't get easier. I get a little emotional when crew leaves to go home. Safe travel to Hannah along with thoughts and prayers for her Mom and family.

Garry Gill

Hannah, I'm so glad so glad you were able to sail with Kaza, Sierra and Brian! I'm sure all us patrons enjoyed you too! : - ) Good luck with your future sailing adventures. Now, . . . It is time to hit PLAY!
