Added 2023-10-20 15:14:07 +0000 UTCAhoy Friends! Join us in our next tropical paradise, the incomparable island of Mo'orea in French Polynesia. It's finally time to say goodbye to the Tuamotu Islands, and WOW what a time we had there. The Tuamotu's reminded us a bit of the San Blas Islands in Panama with little sandy palm tree dotted islands everywhere, insane diving, super protected and comfortable anchorages, and jaw dropping beauty LITERALLY everywhere we looked. But when you're headed to the world famous Society Islands (think Tahiti, Bora Bora), it makes it a bit easier to move on. We point our bow south west and get treated to some truly amazing downwind conditions, and eventually make our arrival to Mo'orea. You guys have seen a bunch of our real time updates, so you know how much we LOVE it here, and that we ended up making a little home base here for a while...but this episode is just our first taste, and as you will see it was enough to get us COMPLETELY hooked! The highlight of our first stop here is definitely our wild and chaotic encounter with the underwater locals here. We get up close and personal with the resident population of sharks and rays who have zero concept of personal space, and things get very interesting (and hilarious π€£). Another cool thing about this episode is that this was a time for Sierra where all of a sudden her speech is just taking off! Her ability to express herself is really starting to come out more than ever, and we love hearing her perspective on these experiences...prepare to have your heart melted more than a few times in this one π₯Ήπ₯Ήπ₯Ή

I read about her family as they circumnavigate and got to meet them when they moved ashore briefly to build a bigger boat in Oriental, NC. where I live. Just as with Holly's parents, I can see Bryan and/or Kazza flying out to meet her in Moorea and reminiscing about these wonderful days. Ain't life grand?
