Sorry this one's coming at ya a bit later than usual, we just finished our passage back to the Tuamotu Islands 🤩 We are slowly starting to make our way back towards the Marquesas to dodge the cyclone season, and of course we couldn't resist spending a bit more time this unbelievable part of the world.
In this week's episode we trade isolation for some big city livin! We had just arrived to Tahiti, the largest and one of the most iconic islands of French Polynesia. We had a few boxes to tick here- we hadn't done a big provisioning in about 4 months since leaving Mexico. I needed to handle some visa stuff, and we also wanted to just enjoy some of the comforts and luxuries of civilization after spending so much time in incredibly remote areas.
We also celebrate Sierra's 4th birthday, and ohhhh my goodness there is a lot of cuteness to unpack in this one 🥹 Where has the time gone?! Can't believe what a kind, intelligent, resilient, funny, and sweet little human she is becoming, and we are so stinking proud of her every single day. We celebrate her birthday with some whale watching (a little too close for comfort for Kazza at one point even 😂 ) and a beach day & cake with friends. I can't wait to see where in the world we will celebrate her 5th birthday!

Happy birthday Sierra! I love that you left the part with the lighter not working I there. Nice job editors! Oh the description of time going slow, but fast at age 4 is perfect. But soon it will just go by fast.

Watching you guys share that amazing whale breach with Sierra, all I can imagine is that she is going to grow up with an unbreakable bond with nature and all it has to offer. What an amazing gift you are giving her as parents.

I can tell you from experience, they learn so much from Mom and Dad just explaining the world around them as they show interest and ask questions.
