All The Dirty Details...HOW WE MET! Sailing Vessel Delos Ep. 386

Grab a frosty one, a tasty snack, kick back, and get ready for a super fun episode!  In our latest instalment, we continue our trip up the coast of Mexico towards Zihuatanejo and beyond.  We had been going through some old photos and we stumbled upon a few gems from the very first weekend Kazza and I met allllllll those years ago.  Jordan was full of questions, and she actually came up with the fun idea for each of us to tell the story of how we met, but separately from each other and see if any parts of the story came out different 😂

It blows my mind completely when I think about how many millions of tiny decisions, little moments, choices, twists and turns, ups and downs in both of our lives had to align perfectly in order for this chance encounter to have happened.  There are literally an infinite number of ways both our lives could have gone, and yet we ended up here together with thousands upon thousands of miles under the keel together, a family, memories and friendships from all around the world, and hundreds of thousands of you all in the Delos Tribe that have come along on this crazy voyage with us!  Life sure is one crazy ride, and I would not change ONE SINGLE MOMENT of it.  Thanks for sharing it with us 💕💕💕

Brian you have created a story. A story of your life. A story of your dreams. Along the way you have also created a family by joining together with Karen and together you have created a beautiful child. Your story is awesome and uniquely your own. One that only you can tell from your own perspective, and I am grateful that you have shared. Stay Salty

Andrew Lee... lost, at sea!

Awesome story on how you two got together. I could use a vacation right now. Got any room?? Jk. Lol

I absolutely love you folks and this channel…Brian, Kazza and Nuggs, you make my day…I sincerely wish I could come to Annapolis but it’s not in the cards for me this year…stay well, stay safe, and fair winds and following seas!

Michael Ward

I love this video! Over the years you had given us tidbits of how Brian and Kazza met, but I like the way Taylor interviewed you for the full picture. it is amazing how random events impact our life’s trajectory. I’m a low 60s grandma who has sailing in my blood (daughter of a naval officer, raced small sailboats in Newport and Boston my young life) and found you randomly on YouTube years ago. Binge watched from the first episode and then awaited your weekly episodes ever since. You were my first Patreon subscription and have spoiled me in that I expect as good content from other creators (it’s hard cuz you are so good!). You are a beautiful family appreciate how you let us into your lives. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Myra Slepoy

A very sweet story about how you two met. The frosting on the cake is Nugget's antics in the background. Wow, does she know how to entertain herself or what? Your happy marriage shines right through her happy face! Now for the challenge... how is she going to take being on solid land for that long? Fair winds always!

William Flower

Enjoy all those little moments and quirky little things with your kids as they get older that’s the things you remember the most … Love the show much love to y’all Fairwinds. Ps sweater puppets should be free range

Capt. Dustin LaBorde

Thanks again for sharing more about how you two met. It was years ago when I found Delos vids searching for "sailboat crossing equator" on Youtube and yes, yours got my attention! Favorite episodes? There are so many, but I loved when you and Karin were alone in El Nido, and when you all were in Cocos Keeling. Being a parent, I also enjoyed your transition to being a family boat. Thanks for sharing your adventures!

Daniel James

You don't have just one Swedish Princess .......... Nugs and Marta are also SPs. You have them all now. Lucky Dog! See you in Annapolis.

Bonne Mike

That thumbnail....so much yay.....love it. Cheers you three!

Somewhere in the Delos Videoverse there was another one that shared a bit about Kazzafication of Delos (A VERY wonderful blessing from what I can tell through the screen and writings). Me, I've never much cared for those strange pseudo-names for breasts. I think the most beautiful thing in the world is a mother breastfeeding her little one and by extension, breasts. Then, I'm a weird 68 year old guy living alone on a 27' sailboat in the harbor of Tacoma, Washington. Delos videos got me through Covid lockdown (never caught the bug myself). I, in a non-creepy way, feel very joyful to e part of the extended Delos family. You all bring/share such great joy. For everything you are and share we on the other side of the tube thank you from the depths of our hearts. Blessings to you all.

Spencer Norby

Funny you mention chance encounters, it was totally random that I found out about you guys and your channel! I was watching videos on tiny houses and sustainable living (early days of the pandemic). I wound up on a "green living" YT channel that had an interview with you about living small footprint on Delos. It was a good interview and I liked your description of the life so I looked up the Delos YT channel. I think the first video of yours I saw, Nugget had just been born and you had just returned to the boat, so just before you got locked down and the TTYC was born, roughly? Anyway, I couldn't believe you guys were doing that life with a baby, and then I realized what a huge back catalog there was to go through. I binged through the whole series and caught up since I had nothing but time on my hands due to Covid. Suffice to say, I was hooked and became a Patron. :) edit: and a Cruisers Academy Patron too!

Sean Martin

Too bad you didn’t get to spend more time in Z town. My favorite cruising town in Mexico! You land on the beach, on everything is within walking distance. You need to go there in the winter. I spent a month there around Christmas, and it was amazing! Lots of cruiser parties, and we adopted our own hole in the wall restaurant. You need to go back! It is amazing how one moment in your life can change everything! Glad you guys found each other!

Mark Gumprecht

Fun to revisit some of the old video and fill in some parts that have made us wonder. But then you had to bring up NINA!! She really needs an old fat bald guy in her life!!

William Gross

I get what Kazza ment with your situation back in the days you met down under. And I think Brady framed it pretty well in the episode where you picked up Camilla in Mauritius (ep. 114 I think) : We are the degenerates of the sea! 😂 I still laugh whenever I think of that short clip from the airport, where I might add, you gentlemen were hungover like heck! 😁 Thank you all for being you, it is a pleasure to follow you and in a small part contribute to your jurney!

Klas Andersson

Love you all!

Trevor Eubanks

speaking of boobies. I just learned that in Texas anywhere a man can go topless, women can as well legally. Can anyone confirm this? Anyway, I have found that just like nude beaches, usually the ones there are not the ones you want to see naked anyway. BOOBIES!!! P.S. I'm almost 62 years old and NOPE, you never get tired of seeing BOOBIES!!!

Ron Brock

I've heard some of this.
