The Quickest Way to RUIN an Anchorage...WTF?! 🤬 Sailing Vessel Delos Ep. 396
Added 2023-01-06 14:00:05 +0000 UTCHappy New Year Fam! We're back after our little break with another episode from our adventures in the Sea of Cortez...or should we say misadventures. We pull up to another picture perfect anchorage surrounded by gorgeous clear water, perfect beaches, cactus dotted hillsides and mountains...it wasn't until the sun began to set that we realized there was a secret lurking, waiting to terrorize us. It's so wild how something so tiny can absolutely destroy such an otherwise perfect paradise.
And we have some other exciting news for you too. We actually scheduled this release because when you get this message we will be somewhere between Sweden and Mexico! We're headed back to Delos feeling recharged and ready to face a HUGE new year. We've still got quite a few jobs to finish (Delos will still be hauled out for a bit once we return) and then we've got about 600 miles to cover to make it down to the southernmost check out point in the Baja Peninsula where we will wave goodbye to North America and begin the 3-ish week sail across the Pacific.

If you guys ever get stung by bees again make a paste with baking soda and water and apply it to the sting. Let it dry and it will neutralize the pain and inflammation. I had a lot of experience with this when I was a kid. =D

2023-01-06 15:28:51 +0000 UTCVinegar, alcohol, uric acid anything to stop the itch. I was diving off Isla Coiba, Panama, in a soup of jelly fish. We all suffered stinging. I was worst off because I was not fully covered in a wet suit. It took 3 days for itching to subside. One of divers, a doctor, said, too late, that he should have documented my condition.
