Added 2023-03-03 14:00:05 +0000 UTCAhoy lovely Delos Tribe! We have a really fun episode for you today :) We kick things off in the engine room for some sweaty tinkering. The generator was acting up AGAIN which seems to be an ongoing theme for our Sea of Cortez episodes 😂 And then the time has finally come to wrap up this season of sailing and head north on an over night motor to Puerto Penasco where we would be hauling out for our 9th time on this trip around the world.
It feels like SO LONG ago that we cast the lines in Shelter Bay and began the 3,000+ mile journey from the Panama Canal up to the northern end of the Sea of Cortez. Our time being back in the Pacific ocean has pretty much mirrored what we've found to be true about cruising in general- alternating between the highest highs and the lowest lows, sometimes even simultaneously. While we'd had some pretty big challenges during this time (Hurricanes, Salmonella poisoning, and basically the entire coast of Costa Rica spring to mind) overall it's been a pretty special and unforgettable season for us, and just seeing how much Sierra has grown and developed during this time is pretty mind blowing!

Have y'all seen toroidal props? They came on my radar recently and are reported to have large boosts to speed and fuel efficiency over traditional props. Could extend Delos' mileage when motoring.

So we can kinda follow along and see how long ago this happened ? I'd love to have some sort of a timeline, and be able to know like when a season starts, when it ends, how long I have to wait to catch up between episodes, and live feed info , etc... It's just a suggestion, don't hold my ASD against me ;) I'll love ya and keep watching anyway !

That towel technique looks to need some work. Maybe a giant fly swatter? I have full confidence that the meek (bugs) will inherit the Earth. In the mean-time ... Keep 'Em Flyin.
