Hola friends!
We're back this week with part 3 of of our boat yard chronicles. This one's a bit of a mixed bag of projects, but the biggest one was definitely fixing the furler for the genoa. (A huge shoutout to Chris and Jeff who helped design and machine the parts!) I really enjoy projects like this that involve a lot of creativity. A lot of stars had to align to make this one happen including tracking down a retired Swiss guy who used to make the original parts and getting him to dig them up from his basement and send them to me 😂 and I'm super happy with how it all turned out in the end. We had a lot of victories in the yard, but lots of set backs as well, and as is usually the case with boat projects everything was taking longer than we had hoped for. So with the clock ticking we decided to bust out the big guns, and we welcomed Super Ryan back to save the day.
This episode also features a cameo from the one, the only....Mormor! She was able to score a last minute deal to come out and spend some time with us in Mexico, and all of us (especially Sierra!) couldn't have been happier. This year has been the most time that we've all had together as a family (Puerto Vallarta, the boat, our trip to Sweden and now here in Puerto Penasco), and it has been so amazing to watch Sierra and Mormor's relationship deepen with each visit. We feel so lucky that we've been able to balance our nomadic lifestyle with plenty of family time, it just fills our hearts up SO MUCH!
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend wherever you are in the world ❤️
Lots of love from all of us!
