We're finally getting properly settled in after all the chaos of returning to Australia, moving in to our new place, getting back in the building groove and of course keeping the normal episodes coming! But we are beyond stoked to share this first look at Delos 2.0 with you! After 10 weeks away in Tahoe visiting Brady & Blue, some time with family in Sweden, and of course all the boat show antics in Annapolis, we finally got back to the workshop and laid our eyes on Delos 2.0 again! And our reactions in the video pretty much say it all, we were BEYOND blown away at the progress that was made. Dan and the guys didn't miss a beat while we were gone and the amount of hard work they put in in such a short amount of time is truly incredible. When we left there were no decks and no roof, the top part of the boat was still just a skeleton, and now as you'll see they put on all the decks, the entire roof, the whole aft cockpit, the rain catchment system, support posts for the roof, chainplates all welded in, and sooooo much more. We are super stoked to be back at it, and we've got some pretty cool stuff coming up to share with you. Have you considered 'chef' stools at the stern? think about when you have a large group on board in an anchorage. You're grilling and drinking a beer. You need a place to sit and set your drink down without returning to the main part of the aft deck. Cheers! amazing

2024-11-12 11:22:52 +0000 UTCHey Clive, we'll target around 50KWH of batteries. It's a substantial amount of weight, over 400KG. We'll have about 10KW of inverter capacity. So yes the weight balance needs to be calculated carefully otherwise you risk a squatting boat :). We'll have one diesel engine for range, and two 25KW electric motors. It's quite a new system but we look forward to seeing how she goes!

2024-11-12 11:20:31 +0000 UTCHey Donald, yes it should be fairly easy. We are building a step on the port side of the cockpit, and on the starboard side there is a seat that can be used as a step. From the deck it's pretty easy to get up top.

I was watching another channel and he has discovered that that the batteries and stuff on his all electric boat caused it to sit too far back in the water and has had to make changes in the placement of the real heavy equipment. 👌🏼
