We celebrated Mothers Day with a feast, Sierra helped me to pick out “rainbow flowers” , we went shopping for socks and pants because it’s fricking cold here (and we didnt have either), Sierra got a new bike (Woo Hoo!!!!), we tried on our new uniforms, and we saw the incredible progress of the build. The serious fun begins on Monday. We’ll keep ya posted. XXOO Brian, Karin, and Sierra

2024-05-19 00:28:59 +0000 UTCRedlands City Council area is an extremely prominent area for Koalas in the wild. You will often have one in the tree in a shopping centre carpark or wandering up the footpath or across the road at night. You will notice also that any major road is totally fenced with a smooth green metal strip at the top to try and stop koalas particularly but also other wild life climbing over and onto road. Watch for the possums running along the powerlines chasing each other at night. Also Thornlands and Victoria Point where you are has a significant area near the shopping centre there where sugar gliders live(marsupial look a little like a small possum that has web skin between arms and legs. Very cute) They had to leave the trees and make it wider in the middle of the road when they duplicated the road so that they had somewhere to land because they couldn't glide the distance. Make sure you are ready to film and photograph any koalas. I had one walking down the footpath right in front of the house with a baby on its back one night.

Brisbane has the worst couple of years of wet and very humid weather. Hopefully due for better longer period of more normal seasonal weather. Sucks way worse in Victoria here. Will get better quickly through August and will be glorious through Spring. Good to see Sierra excited and happy.

Time to get to work and build that cat! I bet a boat build by Brian and crew won’t have as many problems as most of the new boats people buy. And southern hemisphere winters are colder since Earth is further away from the Sun in May, June and July. And Kazza, if you keep eating such big meals you could grow into the shape of a beach ball! 8 - O It's also cool to see the hull frame so far advanced. But could it be that if you push one part the right way it all falls to pieces? I hope not. LOL Finally, when I was a kid my dad NEVER put training wheels on our bikes. He taught us mostly in one single day how to ride without them. I wonder if that could be done with Sierra? Hmmmmmm
