Weekly update
Added 2017-10-31 13:34:14 +0000 UTCI'm almost done with my freelance video work so I should be able to put up a tutorial this week. This week I'm carrying on with the Platformer series and taking a look at simple parallax scrolling for background elements. It's going to be a short piece as I don't have a lot of time, but hopefully it's easy to digest and is a useful tip for how to think about your backgrounds and their relationship to the camera.
I'm probably going to follow this up with another part of the Platformer series, it seemed that was quite popular from my recent topic poll. But that said I've started another topic poll for $5+ supporters with a few cool things on offer for the video after that.
Results of that will be decided next monday, or I might let the poll run on a few extra days to make sure everyone gets their say as I won't be working on it right away.
I've gained quite a few new supporters this month, it doesn't look like it because the pledge total hasn't really gone up (in fact it's gone down a little) but that's because we also lost a couple of my biggest supporters from the $20+ tier. People stop supporting for a whole number of different reasons and you should remember that if you can't really afford to be funding my work then you shouldn't! I want to take a moment to express massive thanks to all my past supporters throughout the course of my work, some of the people who've left have funded me an extraordinary amount and I'm so grateful to them for how much they were able and willing to support my work.
