Week 32 - Holidays, Homes & Future plans
Added 2019-08-06 19:36:03 +0000 UTCA whole bunch is going on at once this and last week. There's been more movement on the house purchase front (We're finally getting ready to complete! I might even move by the end of the year!) and also a holiday to Spain I booked with a group of friends and my partner at the start of the year has snuck up on me. I'll be flying on Thursday and will return ten days later!
As much as I've been looking forward to this holiday (despite being together for 5 years, this is me and my partner's first ever time abroad together!) I feel like it couldn't have come at a worse time. I've just had tons of forms & contracts dumped on me that I need to sign and process for the house purchase, I'm in the late stages of this forsaken ARPG project that I badly want to see out of the door and some contract work for YoYo Games is even looming on the horizon.
To fill the gap when I go away, I'm putting together a video about something that comes up all the time. "Can you make X in GameMaker?" or more interestingly, "Should you make X in GameMaker?". I always answer the former with "Yes*" and in this video, I want to talk more about that asterisk.
I'm also going to be doing a giveaway for GameMaker Studio 2! I've got some desktop licenses from YoYo to give away, details will be in the video!
I mentioned a little while ago about some stuff with Another Perspective that I couldn't talk about. I still can't talk about it but you'll be happy to know the work is done on my end. That's one less thing to occupy my time.
Thank you all again for all your patience this year. I know the journey with this ARPG feels endless and seems to be ceaselessly interrupted. But I promise you it is nearing an end.
