Editing part 1 has gone very smoothly. My new processor has paid off enormously and working in after effects and premiere is many times more productive than it was previously.
I have been very careful in the editing of episode 1, it will be the most viewed episode of the series by a large margin and I wanted to make sure it was well explained, clear, and gets as many people through to part 2 as possible.
I wish it didn't have to be 30 minutes long, but that's the nature of the work that I do. We cover setting up our game's resolution and moving around. Our movement is a little different in this series compared to our platformer. We have to account for moving diagonally, and to do that we're using a vector based interpretation of our inputs which accounts for diagonal movement, rather than just converting directly to a hspeed and vspeed.
Here's the timeline as it looks right now:

I have the introduction visuals to edit together, and a small clip to re-record in the first few minutes, other than that the video is pretty much ready to encode.
Depending what the new CPU and RAM does to my encoding times (fingers crossed) we might get the video up for Patrons on Monday. Stay tuned.
Thanks as always for your patience and support <3
