I could see a comic page just being devoted to her internal thoughts and emotional reactions in that moment being made and consider it good plot development. Hmm. Now I'm actually slightly torn about where my priorities lie on if he gets out or not. But I'll default to a Non-Fatal/Non-Permanent resolution for them in whatever form it takes, as they are cute together, and have already been shown forming a meaningful enough relationship that a fatal end just seems tragic or overly dark for the themes and events portrayed so far. Like... I would maybe endorse just melting him down if this was a comic where the characters are actively portrayed as edge-lords, and I would even lean toward a fatal end to their relations, as it would be appealingly thematic. But... that's not this comic's tone or theme and its all the better for that fact.
