My first step by step

First step is a sketch! My sketch is really messy but it's doesn't matter, you just need to have a global idea
Next step is lining~ I used a pencil brush to do it
After adjusting the lineart, I added a grey background. I like to thicken my lines to bring attention on important details (eyes, face, chest...) Why I added a grey background? Because it's easier to add bright colours on a dark background!
Now, It's time to draw the lips (I chose a very light color to match the character)
For the shadows, I used this shade of purple on another layer (above) But first, I changed the type of layer to "multiply" with 30% opacity
Result!
To add highlights, I used this shade of blue on another layer (above) I changed the type of layer to "add" with 30% opacity
I put some highlights on the eyes, on the lips and on the chest.
