1907 Itala 36/45 - Beta
Added 2022-02-24 08:51:14 +0000 UTCA competitor has arrived to challenge the 1906 Renault! However, the 1907 Itala 36/45 is really down on power, and its top end is nearly 30 mph slower than the Renault. The Itala's only real chance at victory will be on tight circuits where drivers can use its 4 speed gearbox and slightly better brakes in an attempt to earn a tough win.
NOTE: This car requires the use of the handbrake because the rear drum brakes are activated by the handbrake. Meanwhile the brake pedal activates only the brake located on the drive shaft. There are NO front brakes. Working the brake pedal and the handbrake correctly is essential for fast lap times.

1907 Itala 36/45 (beta 0.52) current issues:
1. 467k tris in LOD A
2. Imperfectly animated leaf springs
3. Steering wheel is on different angle to steering column.
4. Sounds are just placeholder for now.
5. Front tire is clipping into the steering arm at full lock.
6. 3d model generally needs some revisions across the board.

I don't know whether it's because of the implementation of the suspension physics or what, but going across uneven-cambered corners like Nords' Kleines Carousel can sometimes result in one of the front wheels completely folding in.
